I have been flying for some 25 years and
have travelled all over the world in my previous career which has led to some
varied flight experiences, in variety of testing environments. I have also
worked as a helicopter instructor and have experience in the police helicopter
world.

I joined the Ambulance Service in June 2000, as an ambulance technician and in May 2003 I was seconded to the Air Ambulance.
In my 4 years I have seen the service change & progress dramatically with fantastic specialist equipment, doctors & the new procedures that we are now able to perform. I feel very privileged to have been part of these changes.
In my spare time I am an active member of the St John Ambulance youth department, and county adventure team, training 15- 18 year olds first aid, CPR, adventurous activities, map craft and general life skills.
I also feel very humbled to have met some of the multitude of loyal, hard working fundraisers who have helped keep the trust running for so many years.

I am currently attending Hertfordshire University undetaking the Critical Care Paramedic training programme which will allow me to develop enhanced pre-hospital skills and further contribute to the work that our team does. Serving the people of the South East, as a HEMS tem member, is both a privilage and an education in itself.
Away from work I am a keen gardener and in 2005 I took a year out to work with the gardeing team at Chartwell, Sir Winston Churchill's family home in Kent. My own garden, could pretty much be described as a large urban vegetable patch.
I also enjoy country and hill walking and may attempt the Nijmagen Marches in 2009. However, I am currently in training for the Munich Beer Festival!
I joined the Ambulance Service in 1999 and qualified as a Paramedic in 2005. Until now I have been based in Hastings, Sussex where I had the opportunity to work as a single responder on the Rapid Response Unit and complete cliff rescue training.
I am really enjoying the experience of working with the Kent, Surrey and Sussex HEMS and divide my time between both the Marden and Dunsfold bases. I have been made to feel very welcome and am proud to work with such dedicated crews, hardworking fundraisers, and the charity staff that keep it all together. I am overwhelmed by the support the public show our charity.
I live in Brede and spend my time walking my dog, horse riding, snow boarding, socialising and as a volunteer for the Rye Harbour Lifeboat.

studied law, I have lived in this area all my life and feel exceptionally proud
to work for the Air Ambulance Trust.
I started my clinical career in 1996 with Kent
Ambulance Service and after qualifying as a paramedic worked operationally for

Ambulance Service in 2001. Before being selected to join the Critical Care
Paramedic (CCP) program, I was a Paramedic Team Leader at Tunbridge Wells.
As part of my CCP development, I have been very fortunate to be seconded
to the crew of the Air Ambulance. This is an excellent opportunity to work
alongside the specialist doctors and as a result, increase my ability to care
for the critically ill and injured patients.
Like my colleagues, I am also aware of the hard work that goes into fundraising
for the charity and I am looking forward to being able to assist with this
essential function and promote the vital role of the Air Ambulance.

I trained in Stellenbosch in South Africa, and have come from East Surrey Hospital, where I worked in anaesthetics.
My interests are in trauma, regional anaesthetics and intensive care. When I am not working, I enjoy refereeing rugby, fly fishing and kite buggying.
I am a Specialist Registrar in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine from London. In the past I have also been a ship's physician and have worked abroad in the aero-medical industry.
I am married to a Paramedic who works in London and shares my passion and commitment to medicine. When we are not working we enjoy going away camping and as keen outdoor enthusiasts we can often be found jogging, biking or kayaking along the Thames where we live in Surrey.
Doing what we do and working together with all of the team is both an uplifting and a very satisfying experience, as well as a great privilege.

I joined the Air Ambulance team as a pilot in May 2007.
Over the past 15 years I have flown as an instructor and commercial pilot, spending 5 years flying a Boeing 737. My last job role was flying a helicopter camera ship for BBC News.

I retired from the Armed Forces after a career of more than 23 years flying and service around the world and I joined the Air Ambulance team in December 2007.
It is a privilege to be working with such a dedicated, friendly and professional team, I look forward to assisting with the good work that actually makes a difference to the people of South East, England while doing what I enjoy most; flying.

I live in Whitstable with my wife and three young children and I am looking forward to serving the people of Kent, Surrey & Sussex in my new role.

I started working with the Air Ambulance in April 2007. I am very privileged to be one of just five Critical Care Paramedics
