A long-standing and valued supporter of the Kent Air Ambulance has won the first ever Superdraw, netting herself a huge prize of £25,000.
Mrs. Hanson of Chatham, was speechless when she was told the good news by from Lottery Manager, Lynne Mitchell. Lynne said, “One of the most pleasurable parts of my job is ringing our lucky weekly winner, to tell them that they have won £1,000, so to be able to tell Mrs. Hanson that she had won £25,000, was phenomenal. I don’t know who was more excited! The fact that she was also one of our first members of the regular lottery, and such a keen supporter of our cause, makes it even more rewarding”.
The Kent Air Ambulance Superdraw was launched last October, and is the first society lottery to give away such a life-changing amount of money.
When Mrs. Hanson visited the air ambulance’s base, in Marden, to receive her cheque she said, “This is wonderful news. Not only will it give us the opportunity to do many things that we otherwise wouldn’t be able to, but it will also give us the chance to make donations to our favourite charities”.
The air ambulance lotteries raise valuable funds to ensure that the life-saving helicopter remains operational.
