Mother-of-three Sharon Clark, 46,
was left in a body brace for 12 weeks after her car collided with a lorry at
Farningham Road in February last year.
She was airlifted to the

suffered from alopecia and although her hair grew back she decided to lose her
shoulder-length locks to help keep the helicopter
flying.
She said: “I felt that just saying
thank you was not enough so I wanted to do this to give something
back.
“Most people run a marathon to raise
money but I’m not fit enough because of my injuries. I would not even be able to
walk that far.
“It was a very emotional evening
because I knew everyone there and they knew why I was having my head
shaved.”

which needs £1.7m-a-year to stay airborne.

She added: “I didn’t know my hair
was worth that much money. It was quite invigorating having it done and it was
for such a worthwhile cause.
“I really do owe my life to the Kent
Air Ambulance and I’m determined to do something every year to raise money for
them.”
