Awards Dinner for Local Heroes

Tickets for a black tie awards dinner recognising some of the local heroes who support the Kent Air Ambulance have just gone on sale.

The prestigious ‘Anniversary Awards’ evening, is being held at the Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone on May 8^th. It is one of the events planned this year to mark the charity’s 20^th year of flying a Helicopter Emergency Medical Service in the County. Crew from the Air Ambulance will be attending the evening, along with staff and trustees.

Kent Air Ambulance responds to an average of three medical emergencies every day, and relies almost entirely on donations from the public. The awards which have six different categories will be presented to some of those supporters who raise money to keep the Air Ambulance flying in Kent.

Chief Executive of Kent Air Ambulance, John Tickner said ‘The people of Kent have for many years supported the charity in so many ways. This is our chance to thank some of those people, but we are grateful to everyone who raises funds for us. I’m sure that with such great support, we will be able to continue flying for the next twenty years’

An independent panel has short listed the nominations and the winners will be announced on the night and presented with their award by ‘surprise’ guest presenters.
