A rising Kent motorsport star has pledged to support the Kent Air Ambulance Trust by sticking the life saving charity's logo on to his Porsche Carrera car. Tony Gilham is hoping it will bring him luck in the 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup GB.

The 30 year-old father of two, who grew up in Kent and lives in Dartford, is gearing up for his third season, and will be driving for ReDesign Racing in his bright pink and green Porsche Carrera. Last season he finished 4th in the 'pro-am1 championship' but Tony is determined to do better next season.

The location of The Kent Air Ambulance logo is yet to be decided, but Tony insists it will certainly have a good spot on the car and will get seen by thousand of people who watch the sport at the circuits but also on TV.

Tony Gilham, Porsche Carrera Cup Racing Driver said: "I truly believe that the Kent Air Ambulance Trust logo is going to bring me luck next season. It's a fantastic charity that genuinely does vital work in our county, so I'm really pleased to be able to help raise awareness for such a great cause. I know so many people who watch the racing at Brands Hatch have many links to the cause whether it's fundraising or personal, so it's a great partnership. With my pink and green car speeding around racing circuits up and down Britain at 180mph, I hope the Kent Air Ambulance will get some great coverage."

John Tickner, Chief Executive of the Kent Air Ambulance Trust said: "It's fantastic that Tony has room on his Porsche for our charity, if there's a car to be associated with, it's a Porsche Carrera. Joking aside, we're really chuffed that our life saving charity can be given such a high profile placing. It's great to be associated with such a vibrant sport. We're always very grateful to high profile people like Tony Gilham, who value what we do and support us in such a generous way, it means we get great awareness and can continue to play such a crucial role in Kent."
